Selena Look-ALike Contest

Join LULAC Council 4971 for our highly anticipated Selena Look-A-Like Contest! We are looking for young fans to channel the “Queen of Tejano” through style, charisma, and stage presence.

Eligibility: Ages 9 to 16 years old.

Registration Deadline: April 25, 2026.

Performance: A 2-minute stage limit for runway walks, posing, or optional lip-syncing

Contest Guidelines

Eligibility and Entry Information

1. Eligibility: Participants must be between the ages of 9 and 16 years old. The contest is divided into two groups: Group 1, ages 9-12, and Group 2, ages 13-16.

2. Entry Fee: Each participant is required to pay a $75.00 entry fee.

3. Application Details: To participate in the contest, applicants must complete the entire application form and submit the entry fee.

Required Participant Information

• Participant’s full name and age

• Parent or guardian’s information, including name, address, and phone number

• Emergency contact information

Media and Promotion Agreement

• By entering the contest, participants agree to be photographed and recorded.

• The festival may use photos and videos captured during the event for promotional

purposes.

Costume Guidelines and Judging Criteria

1. Outfit: Contestants may wear any of Selena’s iconic outfits or signature hairstyles, or they may design an outfit inspired by Selena’s style. All outfits must be family-friendly and allow for safe movement.

2. Judging Criteria:

Physical resemblance — Judges will evaluate facial features, hair, and the overall look.

Styling accuracy — Consideration will be given to the accuracy of the outfit, makeup, and accessories.

Stage presence — Participants will be assessed on their confidence, charisma, and ability to connect with the crowd.

Stage Performance Requirements

• Each contestant is allotted 2 minutes on stage.

• Posing

• Light choreography
